Take a look at all the services available at Cedar Court Imaging. Our state-of-the-art equipment offers the best experience and delivers the best results.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Cedar Court Imaging (CCI) is the first imaging facility in Southern Illinois to offer True High Field Open MRI service with the Hitachi Altaire MRI unit. High field strength and high performance gradient coils offer superior quality MRI scans similar to most “closed” systems. Scan times are also similar to “High Field Closed” units. The Hitachi Altaire has a true open design which allows patients more freedom and the ability to see out of the magnet during most scans. The open design also accommodates larger patients who cannot be scanned on closed systems. As an additional benefit, the scan room itself is very spacious with a large panoramic window which further enhances the “open” experience.
Computed Tomography (CT)
CCI has a Toshiba Asteion Multislice CT Scanner coupled with a Vitrea Computer 3-D Reconstruction Workstation. This 4 Slice multi-slice unit has exactly the same CT detector technology as Toshiba’s 16 slice, 32 slice, and 64 slice units, meaning the image quality is identical to these scanners with scan times only slightly longer. Multi-slice technology also allows for larger areas of the body to be scanned in less time and with greater detail. The Vitrea workstation adds the capability to perform 3-D reconstructions from normal CT scans. These reconstructions can show anatomy in amazing detail, and allow the radiologist to “strip away” unwanted anatomical structures and artifacts so he can view the area of interest unobstructed.
CCI offers one of the first 4-D Ultrasound units in the region with the GE Voluson 730 Expert system. This unit is capable of performing all General Abdominal, OB/GYN, Vascular, Intercavitary, and Small Parts (breast, thyroid, testicles) exams as well as the amazing 4-D scans which can show fetal anatomy in exquisite detail. Entertainment 4-D Ultrasound exams are available at CCI without a physician order (call 529-8500 for details).
Radiographic / Fluoroscopic (R/F)
General Radiographic (Xray) exams as well as routine Fluoroscopic studies such as Gastrointestinal (GI) exams, vascular exams, and contrast enhanced exams (Myelograms, and Arthrograms) can be performed on CCI’s Philips Easy-Diagnost Eleva unit. This unit along with CCI’s FUJI Computed Radiography (CR) system allows for all radiographic and fluoroscopic work to be acquired and stored digitally (on computer). This means exams take much less time with lower radiation exposure than traditional Xrays using film.
Whole Body Bone Densitometry
CCI can perform Whole Body Bone Density studies using a GE Lunar Prodigy Bone Densitometer. Bone density exams can be performed on spine, hip joints, and extremities (arms or legs) to evaluate bone mineral density and determine if a patient has Osteoporosis. The unit also has a program to calculate Total Body Fat Percentage.
